Something to be proud about
We who are followers of Christ know pride is a bad thing - it's at the root of all sin. But this verse seems to demonstrate that all pride is not evil.
I believe what Paul is referring to hear is boasting, not of your own accomplishments, but beaming with pride in what God has done in you. it is a good outward sign of the internal change.
By yourself, you can accomplish quite a bit - humanly speaking. But one thing you have to keep in focus is that it is God through you. So when you look at your own work, you can see that it is simply an extension of his hand.
So, you can really take your life, your work, and be proud about it - because it is God in you. Just don't ever get caught in the idea that anything you have done is to your own credit.
