Action is required!
God's grace is given freely to us, however there is something that we must do in response to this remarkable gift. First, we must choose to receive it, second we must listen intently to God's word, and thirdly we must share the knowledge we gain through his word with others. Our faith requires action! This action on our part is not to be viewed as something we do to prove ourselves acceptable before God, remember, it is a gift freely given unable to be attained by anything we do. The action required on our part is a response to the incredible gift that we have been given. Notice that God tells Ezekiel "Stand on your feet and I will speak to you" clearly action was required by Ezekiel in response to God's call. God calls us to be active in our faith as a response to his gift freely given.
