Don't Get Ahead of God

The message in these two verses was simple for me today. Don't get ahead of God.

When you see God is moving, when you see that God has given direction, you still have to follow Him.

The ark is symbolic of God's Presence. The Israelites are warned to not get ahead of the ark, but to follow at a safe distance behind it, so they can keep it in their sight and not go the wrong direction.

This is a great reminder for me - even when I know the Lord has spoken to go do something, I still need to keep my eyes on him during the journey.
