Faith
As we journey through the Kingdom series (which has been life-changing, btw) I keep coming back to the issue of faith. And ironically my faith has been tremendously tested during these last couple of weeks. I believe as Christians, we all have faith that God will do what he promised to do and we'll join him in Heaven when we die. But I think we all fall short in trusting that he'll bring his kingdom blessings over our lives. Why is it so easy to have faith that God will be with us when we pass from this life to the next, but it's so difficult to have faith that God will provide and take care of us here on Earth? Is it because his Kingdom has been separated from us, to where faith on Earth becomes so much more difficult? I ask God "His Kingdom come, His will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven." I love the translation in 1 Peter, where Peter explains that gold needs to be refined by the fire, to become more valuable than it was before. God is shaping our faith to become so strong to where his Kingdom can be fulfilled in our lives and the lives we touch. My prayer is that we all remember why our faith is tested and keep our hearts focused on his Kingdom coming to Earth, and know that He will always be faithful to us when we're faithful to Him.
