One Day? Are you sure? Gap Theory?

Ok so I believe God can teach us threw any version of the bible if our heart is looking for truth but I must say that this particular scripture(Genesis 1:5) of the american standard version and any others a like I find fault with.

The King James Version, noted as the closest word for word translated version, states it like this.
"And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were THE first day."

"The" is used as a definite article meaning, this particular day wasnt just any day but THE ABSOLUTE VERY FIST DAY EVER. There can only be ONE FIRST DAY.

The Reason this is important to understand is because of the Gap Theory.
