Blind man walking...

Blind man waking…

Blind man walking on his own…
Without a cane…
Nothing to hold on to, nothing to guide …
Is that logical?

Blind man navigating a journey alone…
An unreasonable expectation
Finding his way without an aid…
Won’t he stumble and fall?

Blind man watching…
A sight to be seen and yet there’s no eyes…
A walk in the dark as though it were day…
Is that even possible?

Blind man running…
Swiftly, sure-footed
Moving with fearlessness
Who could even expect that?

Yes God does of his people…

Blind man walking… in eyes of “faith…”
Walking with the sight of God
Trusting, believing, knowing the Father will not fail him
So he keeps on walking…

Walking in faith when…
There’s not even a thread to hold onto…
No visible possibilities exist… and yet
Being sure of His unchanging character

Walking in the valley of death…
Without fear and
With confidence of His presence and
Authority to rule over real threats

Walking in brutal betrayals…
When a wilting spirit has no reason to go on…
Only faith’s eye can see beyond…
A vision of celebration in the presence of one’s enemies

Walking in scarcity and job loss
The context indicate there’s much to fret
Panic sets in and the heart races
Only faith alone can remember the Creator’s abundance…

Blind man walking is faith’s opportunity…
To unearth goodness and mercy
In the presence of evil and dead ends
