Think Before...You Move!
In a chapter dedicated almost exclusively to wisdom in life, Solomon concludes...Ponder the path of your feet, and let all you ways be established. The NLT says mark out a clear path for your feet...
It is true that there is so much that is so "random" in life. It's also true that a little spontaneity is good and breaks up the monotony of the routine for us in good ways (provided our spontaneity is actually "good"). But being that life is truly a vapor - a mist that is here today and gone tomorrow...shouldn't we live with some pondered and carefully considered intentionality. It is true unfortunately that good intentions don't help us reach desired destinations. The principle of the path is that we must ultimately choose a wise path if we want a wise and good life - to live otherwise is well....unwise:-)
Father God in Heaven - Help me today to choose the wise path, just today Lord, and let me rest my head upon the pillow tonight (should that be my lot to do so) and let me close my eyes in peace, knowing that i have stayed from the poor paths in this life...and for your glory Lord let it be for me!
I so deeply desire to be the man of conviction that i once was. I need thee Every hour i need thee. Bless your Holy Name for not being done with me!!! I love you and want to honor you with my brief sojourn here.
