Redeemable Qualities

Using your hands to build rather than to steal... Redeemable qualities is an idea I heard of a while ago that I would love to study and speak on sometime soon. I love this idea that God gives us skills and natural tendencies for a reason. In our own flesh, we use these gifts destructively. A musician writes a great song that moves people, it may include perverse themes and instigate sin. The artist rides the emotion of others, stakes their future on short-term industry trends. Conversely, that musician could use the same gift to write songs glorifying God. This is just an example - I'm not saying that every musical person needs to exclusively write worship songs and lead worship in their church. That person could also write secular songs that point people to God, give them hope, etc. They could perform their songs in a church, a pub or an outdoor arena. Same skill, different purpose altogether. God doesn't need to change you - He made you the way He intended. He just needs you to yield your life over to Him.
