God has graciously and freely given all believers spiritual gifts. These gifts are God’s way of equipping His people to grow in Christ likeness and reach others for the Kingdom. In Ephesians 4:13 Paul speaks about, “attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” right after giving us a list of spiritual gifts. Paul knew that it would be impossible for the body of Christ to be unified if believers weren’t exercising their spiritual gifts. The gifts we’ve been given are for our own benefit but mainly for the benefit of others. If we fail to use them then we are simply hoarding our gifts and allowing them to become junk on the shelf of our lives.
