A Second Chance...

Israel had done some pretty terrible stuff, yet here, God makes it clear that if they will only repent and turn from their sin, he will be more than happy to wipe the slate clean and give them a second chance. There's a tendency in our lives sometimes to feel that we have done something too terrible, too bad for us to ever be a part of God's plan or to ever receive God's forgiveness. That simply isn't true. Even in the darkest, worst moments of the lives of God's people, he still freely offered them a second chance. Let's hope that we, unlike the Israelites, will take him up on it.
