Matthew 7

7:1~ It is not for you in your carnal mind to judge. Only the Lord’s spirit can judge. By stepping out to judge in your carnal mind you open yourself up to judgment because you are working in flesh. And anything in flesh can be judged and condemned. When you judge others you are automatically putting yourself up as being above someone else. It is hypocritical, seeing that we are all born into iniquity.

7:2~ The same manner you judge/punish others will be used on you as well. He is a fair and just God even in judgment.

7:3~ We are so quick to judge others before first checking ourselves. Almost as if we are ignorant to how evil our own hearts are. In reality we build up so much pride in our flesh, we don’t see it as being the sin that it really is. When that happens it becomes dangerous. Because as the Lord knocks down that which you believe in (worldly) whatever you have that ungodly pride in will fall as well. And if you are still holding on to it your entire foundation will be rocked

7:4~ And you can’t come forth in correction whole-heartedly if you haven’t looked at yourself first. The correction goes both ways.

7:5~ In all judgment (through flesh) you show hypocrisy. Because nothing in the flesh exhibits righteousness. And correction can only come forth in truth when correcting vessel is cleaning in His spirit. Then there is no spiritual bias.

7:6~ Don’t give that which belongs to His Kingdom to Satan nor the gentiles. For with the gentiles it will land on death/deaf ears and they will still come back against you.

7:7-8~ If you ask of God and His Kingdom it will be given to you freely when you come to Him with an open and willing heart. If you sit at His feet all will be revealed to you.

7:9-11~ No father would give his children evil when they ask of him so why would we expect less from THE FATHER.

7:12~ So let the Lords light shine unto others through you, as it will be mirrored in the spirit. He is a fair and just God.

7:13-14~ Come into the Lord’s path and His ways. In order to do so you MUST come through the narrow gate. It is narrow because you cannot bring your excess, that which you deem to be good. However, at the wide gate all that can enter. And surely they will not enter into God’s Kingdom.

7:15~ Beware of those who claim to come in the Lord’s name/word. They come in based off of what they see (tradition) but the do not allow His word to come through. They are strictly there for show.

7:16~However, They will not hold up against The Word and is will show in their fruits. Because God’s word brings forth life everlasting and anything that is not in His name will surely turn when exposed in/to the light.

7:17-18~The Lord’s Word can only bring forth that which is in His likeness: truth, life, and His Spirit. The same scenario goes for that which is not in Christ’s image. It can bring forth that which is SIMILAR but it will still be in sin, death, and the image of Satan.

7:19~ But those that do not bring forth life will be uprooted and cast away. For they cannot stand in God’s presence.

7:20~ you can easily see one’s heart; simply by looking at whether their fruits prosper in light or whether they wither and die.

7:21~ Those that simply call The Lord’s name and do not walk in His will will not be in the presence of heaven. For they are not allowing Christ’s spirit to arise in them. To even call His name would otherwise be blasphemous. However, it is only Mercy and Grace that allows this to be so. To see Jesus Christ as Lord one must follow and carryout His ways and then His spirit (Christ) arises. That is His presence and THAT is heaven.

7:22-23~ Many measure themselves according to gifts. When they are not supposed to measure at all. They were simply supposed to walk according to The Lord’s word/instruction. Which allows His spirit and image to rise. But if they have not I will turn them away because I will not know them.

7:24-25~ Whoever receives His word and follows Him will become a wise man. Because the wisdom and understanding (Proverbs 7, 8 & 9) will arise in them. The spirit of Christ. And that is the foundation that is like a rock. It cannot be moved or shaken in time of testing. It is solid and will not wither away.

7:26-27~ In contrast, if one is told God’s word and chooses not to follow in The Lord’s ways they will be considered foolish. They choose to add their own input when all He asks is for us to follow. When we do this our foundation is weakened and will not be stable. When tried it will have a great fall. Emphasis on “great”.
