Am I one of these pharisees?

The pharisees here are guilty of missing the point.

1. They apparently don't know their community. If the invalid was there for 38 years and couldn't walk but now IS WALKING in front of them, their greeting is "Why are you carrying your mat?" What? Were they so oblivious to the people in need around them that they didn't recognize him? Who am I missing while I rush through life in ministry?

2. If they were even remotely aware that this is the 38 year invalid who is now walking in front of them, then the crime is that they are worried about a minor infraction of religious law while ignoring the life-changing miracle associated with it. It would be like an individual singing "Awesome God" while being rescued from a near death accident but being hit by a lawsuit because the video of his rescue is broadcast and the song is copyrighted. God, where am I being tripped up by details and missing the big picture of you at work?
