River Living
Are we ever publicly exposed to insult or persecution as a result of claiming Christ? Do we stand our ground with those around us? Are we standing in the river of life feeling the rush of water as the flow rushes into and around the front of our legs? Are we standing on the bank to avoid getting wet? Could we be like a rootless piece of wood just floating downstream?
We were created to bring glory and honor to the name of Christ, but we can't if we are lost in the flow along with all the world. We must stand firm in the river where we are placed by God. If the world, like swift river water, is not coming against us, maybe our feet are no so firmly planed on the rock?
