When friends care... they bring friends to Jesus...

The text of this verse is awesome just as you read how Jesus healed this man... and I look at how Jesus wasn't annoyed that the man was lowered into the roof, making a mess, interrupting the schedule.. instead... Jesus didnt just heal him.. and go.. ok walk... now get out of here ! Instead... He healed the mans sins... and his physical problem as well... but as I re-read this to teach it to our kids church today.. I look at the fact that some friends had a friend with a need to be healed... and here was the thought process...

1. Our friend has a problem we cant solve... now what ?? ( Understanding...)
2. We know this Jesus can heal people... lets take him there...to see Him.. (Belief & Action)
3. As they get there... the place is packed... they can either tell him ...
a. too bad dude... Jesus really could have helped you, but we're too busy to wait.. sorry.
b. Hey... you wait here to see him... good luck.. you're on your own.
c. OK... no matter the "cost" ... our friend needs healing.. we will do what it takes to get him to Jesus !!!

4. They chose C !!!! They actually had so much compassion for their friend... they actually made a sacrifice.. of their time, their labor... and potentially their "reputation" ... when everyone might think they were crazy for ripping out some roof.... and getting their friend to Jesus !!!!

I have 2 maybe 3 friends who would do this for me... but I am praying that I would be the one to do this for a friend if needed !

Who do we have in our lives that we need to "rip off some roof" for , to get them to Jesus ??????
