Obedience, Grace, and Strength

1) Nehemiah understood the direct corralation between obedience to God and His favor. I need to remember that in order to know that God will protect me, I have to be where he wants me to be at all times. I can't try to get immediate gain, and not expect to have long term losses.

2) Nehemiah shows grace by showing love to the broken, but also by not leading, not conquering, those that have done wrong. He is obviously angry with the nobility, but he does not harm them. He gives them a chance to correct their ways.

3) The strength that Nehemiah shows his ability to stand up for what is right no matter how outnumbered he is at the time and his ability to not have his emotions lead his decisions. Even when he is angry, he makes the right decision according to God's character. This is real strength
