Cheap whiskey
This is an amazingly simple verse that deals with temptation - either you're drinking with the Lord Jesus at his beautifully arranged banqueting table, full of his wonderful gifts he has lovingly prepared specifically for you... or you can say, "No thanks. I'd rather go sit behind the dumpster with the criminals and theives. I kind of like the stench and the cold and the fear and the lonliness... " It just doesn't make any sense when you look at it in light of this verse. Remember - you ALWAYS have a way out! You are never, ever pinned in on all sides by the enemy. Make the choice - fine, aged wine that warms your soul right down to the core, or cheap whiskey that makes you puke. Hmmm, sin all of a sudden doesn't sound all that appealing!
