So That Was Your Plan?

So the doors closed that we might walk through the ones God opened for us, and the ones God opened for us brought us to prison -Nice!

Yesterday, i noticed that timothy had to pay a price to walk with God. Here is Paul, and Silas and Timothy on their way and in the way of God and God blocks them... He slams the doors shut. Then when the doors finally do open and they open miraculously through the aide of a vision, they ultimately end up in a jail having been beaten severely for their witness.

In jail, so glad to be worthy of bringing the gospel to one precious woman and rebuking another pesky one, He and Silas sing. (Where's Timothy - maybe too young to be treated with these "ment?)

So the singing goes through the night and reaches the ears of God Almighty and He stands to defend His own and with a great quake the prison doors open-not only of that dungeon literally, but also the prison doors of the jailer's heart are opened and the Light of the Gospel shines in his heart!

Again, it cost the men who followed Jesus something and that something in this case was literal physical suffering for the sake of the gospel! But the suffering and pain and injustice (the greatest injury perhaps) was swallowed up by the joy of salvation and being used by God!

I asked yesterday oh God and today again. Help me be willing to endure whatever comes that I may find the indescribable joy on the other side of my "whatever" i have to endure for Your sake!

Your ways are great and though sometimes quite costly...still the ways i want truly deep within!

Be glorified today O King...
