Gap Theory
The gap Theory, is all that, a theory. It should never take you away from the truth of the good news. That Jesus Christ came, lived, died, and rose again so we may be saved. This Theory is very interesting because in Gen 1:1 God Creates the Heavens and the Earth. this could have happened trillions of years ago or just a few thousand. when we read the bible we must realize that each verse in some instances, that each verse is not hour by hour. An important point to make is that we must Go back to the Original writings in order to understand where this theory comes from. You see, in Gen 1:2 it says that the earth was void, in chaos, and in disorder. You can find that in the Original Hebrew there is a word :"Tohoo Va Bohu" ( unknown if spelled right) which means the earth became in utter chaos and empty and in disorder. Well we know that God is a God of Order and He would not create a place which would be in Chaos. so this is where the Gap theory supporters claim that, here is where Satan fell from Heaven. they still(most of them) believe that the Earth as we know it today was in fact created in six days From Gen 1:3 on, but that the devil fell on Gen 1:2 and this contributed to the chaos and destruction on the earth.
well, just remember, there is a lot of research out there about this, you should never argue with people about this, our Job is to preach Jesus Christ , to preach salvation, so lets concentrate on what we must do and worry about Gap or not, when we come before our creator and we will know it all by then.
