Not in my power

God had just done an amazing miracle! He healed a man that had been crippled all of his life.
I love Peter's response to the people who are amazed to see this man healed. Acts 3:12 So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

Peter says here that it's not his power or godliness. I know that it wasn't Peter's power but I have to admit I can be like the people looking on at Peter and relating this miracle to godliness. When I see God doing amazing things today though people today one of my first responses is that those people must be so godly. God wouldn't use me to do something like that because I'm not godly enough. Can you say faith killer? I focus on who I am and my weaknesses rather than the power of God.

Lord Jesus, Please don't let my focus of me discount the power of You at work in and though my life
