A Communication Issue

Today, as I read through the last half of 1 Thessalonians 5, the word "prayer" seemed to just smack me on the side of the head. Actually, for the past month, prayer has been constantly put in front of me--it's in the passage that I read, it's in a bible study, someone's talking about how it has affected their life, etc. Over this period of time, I have begun to realize just how important prayer really is. I have experienced first-hand its effect. Prayer can change everything. I mean, it's not like I had not been praying at all before this, but it just wasn't a priority like it should have been. So, I have been trying (and sort of failing) to pray without ceasing, like he has called us to do! I just have a problem with remembering to do it. :/ Anyways, here is what I read this morning:
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit's fire."
"Brothers, pray for us."
When I read this I was just reminded of how prayer is actually God's will for us. I can't even begin to touch on how powerful prayer is. I mean, think about it. It's a direct channel of communication with the One who created the universe. And he has given us the power that raised Christ from the dead! How is that something that can be so easy to forget? (at least for me it is) So this week, starting right now, I am going to really make it my priority to pray continually.
So can I ask you all to pray for me to pray? :)
Grace and peace to you all
