Watchful
Today two vs. jumped at me. Vs 19 speaks of how a man's heart reflects the man. I think for the most part if we really take a second to look at our own hearts we can quickly come to the conclusion of what kind of men we are. My problem lies in not looking. Recently i have been forced to look at my own heart and the depravity of it. Which isn't a bad place....that is to say it is a better place than not looking. I don't like what i see. I am thankful for God's hand at work in my life and his ability to heal the heart. I am thankful that God is the Great Physician and has the ability to do what only he can do with my damaged heart.
God help me to be continuely be reflective. Always seeking you to do a new work in my heart.
v20 Speaks of how death and destruction are never satisfied and neither are the eyes of man. For me personally i know how the lust of the eyes are never satisfied and it is so true. An empty pit. I pray for healing over my eyes and pray against all the other things this vs refers to like greed, jealousy, and so many others. I also pray against the lies of the enemy.
God please, please let it be you that fill my heart and my eyes. Continue to conquer me.
