My new favorite verse!
My moms group just finished studying the book of Philippians together, and this verse stuck out to me more than any other. Its been interesting to do a Bible Study with moms, because parenting is usually the direction my thoughts go as I read now. This verse in particular encourages me so much through the day, because I know that my attitude is determined by what I choose to give my attention to. If I allow myself to focus on what isn't done around the house, by what I haven't accomplished(and may never get around to!), then I will feel like a failure, and that will impact how I relate to my family and other people that I encounter day to day. But when I choose to marvel at the amazing world that God has given me to live in, the husband he made perfectly for me, and the children who have blessed our home, I can be a good wife and mom. Like Paul also writes in Philippians, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me :)
