A Season of Healing

I am applying these verses to what I am feeling that God was leading me to pray tonight, regarding emotional healing. I feel God is leading my prayer partner and I, into a season of emotional healing for our own personal lives. Healing of the emotions and fears that have us in bondage to the point we are scared to let go and be what God would have us to be, so we can serve and live full on for Him.

Jeremiah 33 talks about the promise of restoration and beginning with verse 6, God talks about health and healing for His people so they may have have abundant peace and security. If we allow God to heal us emotionally the way He wants, then it will bring about peace and security in within ourselves because fears will be healed.

Verse 7 goes on to say how God will take them out of capitivity and rebuild them as they were before. If, we apply this to emotional healing and emotional health, God can take us out of capitivity from our fears and insecurities and rebuild us as we were before with pure hearts like little children without the hurts and pain so we are freed up to serve Him with our whole heart, mind and body.

Verse 8 talks about God cleansing them from all their sins and rebellion. As the healing process continues and we abide in God and become more purified of our past and healed, I believe the less rebellious we will be and the more we will want to please God giving Him our all, without fear and reservation.

Verse 9 talks about how the city will bring Him renown joy, praise and honor and others will hear of it and be in awe and tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace that God provided. So, if we allow God to take us through the emotional healing process by His Holy Spirit, then others will see the change and be in awe of the change God has done in us and He will be glorified! I cannot think of a better testimony to the awesome power of God because we have allowed Him to heal us and bring peace and joy into our lives and live full on for Him!
