Esther 9 is about Jesus. Just as Christ declares his Day of Judgment, the king here declares a day when those outside of God's favor will receive the death they deserve (Rom 6:23 ...for the wages of sin is death...). As the tens of thousands killed in Esther 9 were punished for their sinfulness, so too will God punish those in the end that have not trusted Jesus as their only form of righteousness. In the end, Christ will reign supreme and every knee will bow to Him seated on the throne of grace. Esther 9 is about Jesus
