Second time, (Luke 10:32) NIV and we are to assume that Phil Colins, the one singing the song is the Samaritian that shows pity and instead of a man, it is a woman that is helped.
Which arises a good point, it is the holidays. Now is the time if you really wanted to make a difference in your community, you could. Pick an angel from an angel tree and bless a child. Seek out someone at church and become their secret pal;angel for the holidays or heck the whole year. Donate extra blankets to missions around your community. The possibilities are endless, really when you think about it.
You might be like myself, you might think what would I have to offer, you would be surprised. The smallest things can be huge blessings and you might not even know it. I know of several friends, whom in the drive thru of fast food resturants not only paying their ticket but paying the ticket of the car behind them and it was astonishing to see the ripple affect through the line for hours....really. In the end, be creative.
