Daily Bread - Poem
These poems are written by a very good friend of mine (James Hayes). He writes and emails one poem a day to people in his blog called the "BreadLine". I though that I would post them here.
“The Fool”
There’s no God says the fool deep down in his heart
From wisdom and knowledge and light he doth part
They’re corrupt and they’re wicked and just downright no good
Doing nothing that’s holy like a righteous man should
The Lord looked down on them from high up above
To see just how many were seeking His love
But they were all gone aside all together just rotten
None sought after Him they had all just forgotten
They had all become filthy yes they’d all gone aside
They were all filled with hatred lust envy and pride
They feed on the people as if they were bread
They use and abuse them and leave them for dead
There’s fear in their bellies deep down in their guts
Cause instead of Yahweh they got the yeah buts
They’ve shame in their hearts for the weak and the poor
They’re simply too busy and they’re all keeping score
The house and the job or some dope and a heist
Whatever it is they’re too busy for Christ
They can’t see Him or hear Him or touch taste or smell
It’s really too bad cause they’ll end up in hell
If they’d just simply ask for some spiritual eyes
But they’re just too caught up in Beelzebub’s lies
When I think of their fate my heart it doth yearn
We must show them the Way before all of them burn
Thank You Lord Jesus for the hunger and thirst
To spread forth Your Gospel and put others first
The Brother
Your Brother In Christ
