Standing firm by faith

• 2 Corinthians 1:24 (NIV84)

"24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm."

What is it that makes us hold on to faith, believing what we believe....is it our knowledge of the bible?....NO...Is it our own experience?...NO....When difficult circumstances hit you...there is only one thing that makes you belief...: your Faith. I don't mean religion here but that fact that you believe. Faith is like the invisible weapon that we have in our spiritual armor. Faith is not something you can touch, it is also not based on feelings, in fact, feelings are the greatest enemy of faith. So what is the basic of your faith?

1) God is there.
2) God is Good.
3) God is love as shown through Jesus Christ.

For me these are the 3 basics of faith. These are also the 3 most attacked principles in my life. Satan is continually using circumstances or people to attack these three foundations of believing. We ourselves are also an enemy of these because our own thoughts rise up against these three.

So when difficult circumstances come, check yourself against these 3 basics. Renew your faith often in these three and you will stand firm in faith.
