Christ was born into a mess: virgin mother accused of infidelity, Joseph wanted to leave Mary, king that wanted to kill him

God can take your mess and turn it into something Amazing.

Genesis 3:
How did all this mess get started; Go back to Eden. Adam and Eve started the mess.
A/E questioned God's word, truth & instruction; satan will get you too question God's motives
That one act of sin makes us all born sinners.
'Sin will take you further than you want to go, stay longer than you want to stay and pay more than you want to pay.'
Loss of Innocence:
We experience shame and guilt
Loss of relationships
Character Issues - lack of responsibility
We have gone blessing to judgement
Serpents judged - crawl on belly
Women judged - pain of child birth, subject to men; power struggle with husbands
Men judged - difficult work, sweating to make a living
Death will be experienced
creation changed
God left hope. Gen 3:15 Christ will rescue us

Col1:13-14 - Redemption - to by back, pay off, make amends - for the sins of man

John1:12 - Restore what we lost in Eden as children of God

As sinners we have made bad choices, made a mess of things.
Messy lives, finances, jobs, physically
Bad decision b/c of selfishness

Because of Jesus we have a second chance.
Messes all throughout the Bible. The line leading up to Jesus was a mess.
God gave you a place to make a change, clean up the mess through Christ.
God is a God of second chances.
God is a God that forgives sin.
Through Jesus we have a chance to have a relationship with God, to have forgiveness, to sin less and less.
Sin causes separation, Christ fills that separation.

Lord I thank you for fixing the mess.
