Perservering Under Trials
James 1.12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
Happiness and contentment eludes us all from time to time. We desire abundant life, peace and happiness, but all too often we hope for it, but it does not comes to us as we had desired. Might the reason be that we have not "stood the test" or as it is put in a more ancient translation, "endured temptation."
How difficult it is to stay under the weight of whatever is holding us back. To have the fortitude to persevere is a rare trait, and patience, well it truly is a virtue.
I vow to live today as if my very life and existence depended on it no matter what comes.
