What things are on my mind?

"But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. "Get behind me, Satan!" he said. "You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men." Mark 8:33

Thought: Jesus rebuked Peter because his thinking was way off. He was looking at things from a "fleshly" perspective and he missed what Jesus was trying to tell him.

Application: I know that I miss out on a LOT of things because I am not fully listening to Jesus. I allow my fleshly thoughts and attitudes to interpret what I think I am hearing. I need to put those things aside and listen clearly to Jesus voice.
