Joy FULL
'I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth."
How the mindset of this weathered old saint must have changed over time. The once "son of thunder" who was ready to cast fire down on people now says that his greatest joy comes from seeing those same people turn from sin and walk with God. His greatest joy did not come from a great teaching, healing of a man born lame, nor the writing of an epistle but from those that he loved walking in truth. Walking seems to imply that they were not just in the faith but moving in their faith taking up ground with God in their quest to know and be known by Him. No doubt I share in that same joy/pride in seeing my children walk with God. My physical children and my spiritual sons and daughters. To see them loving the King in their own special way brings such great euphoria to my soul. I love it! I am so blessed to be in a position where I can raise, invest and send out spiritual children into the world. To see them mount up on wings like eagles and fly with Him.
Oh Lord You are too wonderful and good. Thank You for the wonderful spiritual heritage you have allowed me to be a part of. Thank You for the great JOY in seeing Your children run to You and fall deeper in love with You. Continue to free me from self that I may be in some way a catalyst for that great work.
