The power of Creation
6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
Paul takes us back here to the day God created the earth. God's power came by His word....He spoked....and it happened. I think all scientists agree that at that beginning of creation some amazing amount of energy or power was released that caused creation. As christians we believe this energy or power came from God who spoke.
Imagine that power that was released on that day when God spoked. Now Imagine the power that was released when God not just spoke...but did the most amazing act in the history of mankind and earth. He came to earth...this time he did not just speak...He came Himself. He came to create something better than the first creation....He created something new..something unique...something mysterious....
It was a new and more powerful power that was released. It was the power that made His light shine in our hearts. It is the power to know God. To know His heart. To grasp and understand that HE LOVES US.
