Many teachers but no fathers

In a day and age of TV preachers, podcasts, online churches, and on demand teaching, it's easy to become a seeker of knowledge but never connect your heart to a shepherd responsible for your soul. It is the leaders responsibility to look out for and take care of the sheep, but that means more than just teaching a helpful sermon. It's also the responsibility of the listener to connect themselves to a place and allow their lives to have community and accountability. We seem to always be seeking more truth, but how often are we held accountable by our loacl body of christ about the truth we choose to obey?
