God made us for this purpose....

5 Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

THis verse touch on the subject of : "Why has God created us?. An answer quite often given to us this is : " So that we can worship God". In this passage it says we have "an eternal house in heaven" and God created us for this purpose. For some reason, God wants to spoil us. He wants to lavish His love on us. He wants His goodness to shine on us. God is everything and we are nothing but the recipient of what He has to offer....and boy...does he have something to offer us.

Now we can go on imagining what heaven is going to be like...but the only clue we have is His Spirit, working in us. Since God's Spirit has entered us we know that we are a better person than when we were without His Spirit. We are sure that we are changing for the better...yes sometimes the change is big and sometimes the change is small or is taking very slow...whatever...change is taking place in the right direction.

His goodness has entered us...but there is more..a lot more where that is coming from. We are going to relax in His presence. God has a lot to give..and He is going to let us have it all...peace that will transcend all anxiety, fears or worries that you've ever had. Any kind of hurt and rejection you've experienced will be replaced by an unimaginable feeling of healing and acceptance. Loneliness wil be replaced with Presence. There will be no more long for love or to be loved. His love will overflow in us. We will laugh, we will smile and will enjoy His goodness, His grace and mery. We will be happy.
