For I am now ashamed
Never be ashamed because your beliefs in Christ. In everything show others that you are filled with Jesus, and He is your life. Some people think that if others found out that they were Christians, and about their faith they would want to hide it. Thinking that they don’t want to alienate their friends. But then again, if they would be shocked and turn from you if they knew they are the wrong friends to have. So in everything rejoice in it. For the Lord first came to the Jews with the Law that He set forth on them. They were not ashamed about living in God’s law, but there were those that are like now wanting to turn away from the grace that God has sent us. Then came God coming to live here on earth in Jesus Christ. So that He may come to die for our sins. So that we may a be fully forgiven and live by the gospel. This was what was the brought to the Greeks, and also to us.
Be bold in what you do, to show others that you love them no matter how they were. Paul shares his faith and the gospel to both the Greeks and barbarians. That is just like now as we go out to minister to other people about Jesus Christ. Not only to those on the street, or come to church to know more about Him, but also to those who are in prisons or doing illegal things. They too should learn about the love that the gospel of the Son of God brings. He is truly amazing in everything he does.
Now though all this, He has revealed His righteousness to us all by the works that Paul did though the faith that he had. For it was by this faith that he was able to do these things because he was living to be just. Moreover the examples that Paul has set though all the books shows the love and faith that he spoke to the many churches in.
Some people strive to want to be an example of something, thinking that status would bring this only to end up failing because they tried so hard to be noticed. But Paul was humble in everything he did. His concern was not wanting to be the most popular or most well known person. He did these things because he was filled with the Holy Spirit to be an apostle. To share the faith and love that Jesus Christ brings to everyone who will listen.
