Godly direction

These verses clearly show us that God does genuinely control our lives. Sure we can have an idea, and even begin to act on it. But it that plan is against the Lords it will fail. "It is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
I am learning in life not to choose a path and begin on it, then when it gets tough to turn to God for help. Rather to turn to God before ever considering my path asking Him, "What path do you will me to take, Lord?" knowing that His path is perfect and has many less obstacles.
As a stay at home mom, I have to remind myself that I am merely a tool for God's purposes. It is Him raising my children, working through me. He always works through me, but when I allow Him to work without my own resistance then He is able to use me without my own discomfort. Being molded doesn't have to hurt.
Just think of Adam and Eve in the garden. Sure God had the alternate plan of using Jesus' blood to cover our sins, but did he not tell them to leave that tree alone? Don't you think it would have been easier if they had just obeyed eternally? Jesus' sacrifice would have not been needed if they had just obeyed and stayed the perfect beings God made them to be. How much easier would our lives be if we just obeyed the Bible and sought God's path instead of looking for our own?
