False Hope is no good!
The people during this time were given false hope...lies...instead of being fed the truth about their sins, they were given false hope which ended up bringing destruction on them.
It is necessary that we correct each other as Christians...to point out when we see someone living in sin so they can correct themselves and get back on the right path. Do you want them to suffer and die in sin? Of course not...so you must hold each other accountable in order to do what God wants each of us to do...that is to glorify Him.
