Blessing God
It is no wonder why God loved this man the way He did. David was so rare a man who found complete delight in his King. After leading a celebration for the ark being brought back, he sits in his kingdom and ponders his life. The little shepherd boy, the nomad running for his life is king over Israel. This undid David and all the amenities around Him were a gift from His God. Overwhelmed with thanksgiving he looks to thank God and he sees God / the ark in the elements surrounded by curtains and a righteous anger wells up. God should have a house. God should be here and I should be the one out in the cold and there he determines.....I will build God a house. A simple man whose act of devotion even stuns the prophet Nathan. What happens in the heart of God when He hears this? No doubt this is a rich moment for the King of Kings. Though his request is not necessary no doubt it is one of
The greatest statements of unbridled devotion. How much I can learn from this. As Gods son looking for a way in which I can bless God. Some way to reach heaven with acts of thanks and unbridled devotion. That should be my lifes goal. My daily aim. How can I bless the King today. May I find those moments today and bring joy to Your heart my Friend, my King, my Savior.
