Prince Of Peace

Interestingly, this begins the first of Isaiah's 25 references to peace. For those of us under the threatening clouds of doubt, devastation, darkness, despair and death (as they were) an introduction is being made to the one who alone could bring peace by virtue of being its Prince. I know of some who reject Jesus as the Messiah because they say He has not brought peace. But the title "Prince of Peace" means that He removes all obstacles to peace between us and God. God has never been at peace with my sins, nor is He at peace with some of my decisions, attitudes and actions, but He is at peace with me through the one we call the Prince Of Peace!
