at the end
We see three things happening here to those who have suffered a death for the cause of Christ. First that God rewards those who endure till the end. Second that God will avenge our enemy in His timing not ours. Third, unfortunately death had to occur for life to happen.
I am not sure that I will have to die for my faith one day but I do want to persevere to the end and receive what God has for me. Not for the sake of receiving a gift but because of what the gift represents, and that is that I made it till the end. I can’t tell you how many times I have got so upset with how our spiritual enemy Satan deceives either me or a loved one. At times I wish God would do something in the moment but I must learn patience and to resist and not put myself in situations for the enemy to set me up. I am also reminded that Jesus had to give his life for the sake of me having life and how grateful I am today.
God thank you so much for your incredible reminders in your Word, may I hide this in my heart today.
