Getting off the fence!

Imagine asking Jesus a question and Him not answering you. I'd be devastated, the One who knows all things has chosen to keep from me the answer I long for. Who do I blame? Jesus? The people around me? Myself?

The leading priests and elders, because of their actions actually blocked Jesus from answering their question.

These guys feared two things instead of God...

1. A fear of looking stupid (v25) They didn't want to admit openly that they'd had a lack of faith and belief in the past.

2. A fear of man (v26) They were intimidated by the crowd.

What can I learn from this... I have no reason (even as a leader) to fear looking stupid (admitting my flaws and my past, my mistakes) The Bible tells me that faith is like a mustard seed, IT GROWS! I'm on a journey - I have more faith today than I did yesterday, why? Because it's a seed and if I water it, it grows.
I have no reason to fear man. I'm not here to please man, Philippians 4 tells me my life's goal is to please God.

I'm choosing today to take authority over the fear of man and humiliation in my life so I can hear the answers I seek from God.

You haven't been given a spirit of fear or intimidation but power, love and authority.
