Prayer
1: Pray for everyone. WOW. God how can I even begin to thank you for the people in my life. Pastors, Friends, Family, Church, Employers, Doctors, - I cant thank you enough - bless them
2: pray for kings - powers. I dont care about your party affiliation. Or your brand of politics. We are told to pray so that we may live peaceable lives. Thank God for the country we live in. Thank you God for our leaders, our president, our congress, our judges, our penal system and our police and fire dudes. Where else can we have all that. Try getting off a plane in a foreign country and there are armed national police with automatic rifles. We are blessed beyond measure and I pray for them to make decisions that dont satisify the masses but ultimately lead to a life of peace so we can worship!
3: Is God pleased with our prayer? Ususually we pray selfish prayers. God I need this, God I need that. God I want to be like them. God heal me of this or heal that person of that. If God wants you home healing is not what you need. Pray for others to be blessed, pray for everyone you can - stop praying selfish prayer.
I pray selfish prayers. So let me pray for God to do his "thang" and bless the people I know and depend on and I'll back up and watch it happen!
