The integrity of Job

I have read the story of Job many times in my life. And in reading it, I think I had a slight misunderstanding of Job's integrity. Job obviously faces enormous trials, one right on top of the next. I can't imagine whhYat that would be like, but I do have a feeling my response would not be like his. The misperception I had was that Job is considered so righteous due to how he responded to the situation. Yet, in reading it today, I realized that Job was not righteous due to how he responded. He responded in such a way because he was righteous. It was the trial that revealed who he was, not necessarily made him who he was. Yes, his response made produced more righteousness in him. But he had impeccable integrity prior o the calamity. That is evidenced by how God talked about him to Satan, and it was PROVEN by how he reacted. We can all put on the "Christian show" but when life hits it reveals who we really are, and where we really are at with the Lord.
