Soap Day 43
Observation - Have you ever had one of those times where you thought that God was talking to you and telling you to do something but you just weren't sure. Well it would be great if God still spoke such an obvious way as He did to Cornelius. I mean come on, some of the ways that God spoke to people throughout the bible were awesome. A burning bush, words written on a wall, a donkey, and angels are all incredibly awesome ways for God to talk. I think that it would be great to hear from the Creator in these ways. But the more I think about it the way that God talks to us is much more personal. The Creator wants to talk to us and wants to do it on a relationship level, on a level where He can speak with us and He doesn't have to yell. That is incredible to think about. Christ still speaks, even if it isn't through my pets, and I have the privilege to be someone He wants to talk with.
Application - I will listen for God in the quiet of the days and look for Him in the busyness that happens on a daily basis. I know that He is speaking and all I need to do is pay attention so I will listen even when it seems that He is being silent. I will not ask for more obvious signs and I will not doubt myself when I know that He is talking.
Prayer - Hey God, The snow is beautiful today, I wish I could get home from work but sometimes so it goes. Thank you for the job that you have provided to take care of the family you have entrusted me with. Today I am asking that you be with my brothers and sisters in Christ at First Family as they go through a difficult time. I pray that they are willing to open up and let you meet them where they are at. Talk to you again soon.
