Begats
I find it so interesting how Matthew takes the reader through the ancestry of Jesus. Just as we hear the term, "the devil's in the details" I think it most interesting how much God is in the details. Everyone in our family ancestry has contributed to our being and the hand of God in our lives. How they must have trusted and believed in God in some way or asked for Him to bless their children and their children's children. I find myself asking God to do the same for mine. I also find myself seeking God out more as to how I can give Him a helping hand by doing my part in guiding them in the direction that would open up His plan and purpose for the lives of my children. We try to memorize Bible verses, pray, and speak blessings over each other every day. Some days are more of a challenge than others, but it's the least we can do for the One who gave His best.
