You Have to Die...
I love the story of Stephen! How he stood up to the Religious leaders. His knowledge of scripture, when he stood before him. His humility, and willingness to be exactly like Christ till the end. But it was after death, that we fully see the effects of his ministry. If Stephen had not died that day, the spreading of the gospel throughout the land would have been delayed. Not only for the Jews, but also for the Gentiles (such as myself). I even believe his death affected Saul (Apostle Paul) who was standing by watching the stoning.
We may not get stoned to death in the physical these days (although this may change in the future), but the weak Christian in this modern time, would rather walk away without confrontation, then face a spiritual stoning. Look at it this way, if you don't get stoned, the spreading of the Gospel is delayed. God Bless
