Sadness Gives Way to Joy
Sometimes we experience great sadness in our lives even though we know that God loves us beyond measure. David gives us a very real picture of the depth of the nation's sorrow in Psalm 6, yet he comes to the reality that God is with them! How come I can't remember this when trouble comes? Perhaps it's because my eyes are too focused on my situation and not on God's presence.
I love how the Psalmist brings me back to the reality of God's plan and purpose for my life - that he is always there, always loving, and always ready to hear my deepest prayers.
