Sometimes when we go into to a spiritual or a physical battle we ask God why we had to face what we did. We focus on what happened and what it did to us and ask God to never let it happened again because of the toll it took on our spiritual and physical lives. But all throughout the Bible is tells us that we will grow and become more mature as we face trials of many kinds.
In this passage those who stood strong throughout their lives and where victorious could only sing, “Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations.” The recognized after having tried other ways that only God's ways are the right ways. And they had their times of doubt too but at the end of the day and at the end of our lives we can only acknowledge that it was God alone who kept them and sustained them and gave them the victory to get to the end. God himself even gave them a hard to play as a further expression of worship unto Him.
God help me have victory today and keep my hope in you and what you have for my future and eternity.
