God spoke it and it happened. What authority! The name used for God in the first chapter is Elohim which is more of a title. It is not until man is created that He is introduced to the Hebrew reader as YHWH, His personal name. This can be seen in the English words that are used. Elohim is translated as God and YHWH is translated as LORD.
