And he brought him to Jesus.
Two disciples followed Jesus, intrigued by Him, wanting to "follow" Him. When they were welcomed to, one of these first ran to find his brother, inviting him to follow too. The next day Jesus sought out Phillip. Phillip in turn found his brother to invite him to come and see Jesus. The remarkable thing is that none of these invitations required any convincing. They simply said, "Come and see." See for yourself. Jesus is enough.
If we can just get people to encounter Jesus, He is sufficient on His own! I don't know why we turn "witnessing" into convincing, arguing, persuading... The moment these people met Jesus personally, whether or not they came with faith that it was Him (ie. Nathaniel), He blew their minds and they immediately came to belief.
How can I bring my friends, coworkers, loved ones, to Jesus - to come and see for themselves? One, I myself must follow Him and "see where He is staying." Two, being filled with Him, pray for opportunities. And three, invite. Whether they "come and see" can be up to them, but if I have found Him, it's up to me to share!
Thank You Jesus, for being such the All Sufficient God. You are truly wonderful, and don't need me, but allow me to be a part of Your great work. Help me to bring others in to meet You - and watch You wow them!
